The Translucent Honey Locus Enlightenment Waiting Room
For my thesis show in college I designed and built a surreal experience that merged color, sound, and objects. All the objects were found or given to me for free, framing the design process as a value-creation process as well as an aesthetic one. The lights were made out of laminated pine that was sanded to different thicknesses in order to reveal the pattern of my hand. The wool covered furniture referenced anthropomorphic and haptic forms, as well as vernacular styles from various cultures around the world.
CAD and 3D Printing
During my design and engineering courses in college, I had the chance to work with CAD software (Rhino and Fusion 360), and different digital fabrication technologies (CNC router, PLA 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.)
El Espendrun Music Video
During my time studying in Cuba, I directed a music video for the renowned Degnis Bofil titled El Espendrun. The song reflects Degnis’ playful and positive view of race and diversity, getting its title from the Cuban word for ‘afro’.
